Théoule-sur-Mer begins where the bay of Cannes ends, at the foot of the Esterel massif. The rock here is red and falls straight into the water: Miramar, the Pointe de l’Aiguille, the coves and the small beaches between the boulders. La Napoule and its harbour are next door, Cannes a quarter of an hour away, and the motorway puts Saint-Tropez an hour and a half away.

It is the choice of those who want the sea without the town: a quarter of an hour more by car, coves instead of private beaches, and views across the whole bay to Cap d’Antibes. The train stops at Théoule-sur-Mer and at Mandelieu-la-Napoule.
